One System, Done Right

Englert Series 1300 Standing-Seam

We install one metal system and we install it well: Englert Series 1300 standing-seam, in painted aluminum or painted Galvalume, with a factory Kynar/PVDF finish. Standing-seam means the fasteners are hidden beneath the raised seams: nothing driven through the panel face to back out or leak.

That focus is deliberate, rather than offer every metal product on the market, we offer the one with the longevity, finish quality, and storm performance we're willing to stand behind:40–50+ years with very little to maintain.

What we don't install — and why

We're upfront about this. We do not install:

Exposed-fastener panels rely on hundreds of rubber gaskets that degrade in Florida sun and turn into leak points. It's a maintenance liability we won't hand a customer.

Stone-coated steel and bare or unpainted metal don't match the longevity and finish quality of the Series 1300 system we stand behind. One system, done well, beats a catalog of compromises.

Questions

Metal Roofing FAQ

What metal roofing do you install?+

Standing-seam only: Englert Series 1300, in painted aluminum or painted Galvalume steel, with a factory Kynar/PVDF finish. Standing-seam means the fasteners are concealed beneath the raised seams rather than driven through the panel face, which is why it holds up in the HVHZ. We do not install exposed-fastener panels, stone-coated steel, or bare/unpainted metal.

How long does a metal roof last?+

We state 40 to 50+ years for our Englert Series 1300 systems. Aluminum and Galvalume can sometimes run longer, but we quote the conservative, honest range rather than the most optimistic one. With the factory Kynar/PVDF finish and concealed fasteners, there's very little to maintain over that span.

Aluminum or Galvalume — which should I choose?+

Aluminum if you're near the coast. Aluminum simply does not rust, so in salt-air environments it's the durable choice and the one we recommend for waterfront and near-coast homes. Galvalume is an excellent value option for inland homes away from heavy salt exposure. Both are Englert Series 1300, both carry the factory Kynar/PVDF finish, and both are rated 40–50+ years.

Why don't you install stone-coated steel or exposed-fastener metal?+

Honesty over upselling. Exposed-fastener panels rely on hundreds of gaskets that degrade in Florida sun and become leak points. That's a maintenance liability we won't put on a customer. Stone-coated steel and bare/unpainted metal aren't part of our system because they don't match the longevity and finish quality we stand behind. We install one metal system and we install it well.

What goes under a metal roof?+

A two-ply Polyglass underlayment: Polyanchor HV as the anchor sheet plus Polyglass XFR. As with tile, the underlayment is the true water barrier: the standing-seam panels shed the bulk of the water, and the sealed underlayment beneath is the backup if anything is ever breached.

Is metal a good fit for hurricane country?+

Yes, when it's standing-seam with concealed fasteners and a current NOA, which is what we install. The continuous panels and hidden clips give wind very little to grab, and there are no exposed fastener heads to back out or leak. Combined with the Polyglass underlayment and a wind-mitigation-friendly profile, it's one of the most resilient residential systems available here.
