Roofing & Impact Protection for South Florida Homes

Your roof and your windows are one system, and in a hurricane they fail as one. Water that gets past a window does the same damage as water that gets past a roof, and your insurer scores both on the same wind mitigation form. We do all three lines to Miami-Dade HVHZ code, we pull the permit ourselves, and we tell you which part of your house is actually the weak point.

What We Do for Homeowners

Three Lines, One Storm Envelope

Miami-Dade is designed to 175 mph. Broward is 170. That number is not about the wind peeling your roof off in one piece. It is about one opening failing, the house pressurising, and the roof deck lifting from underneath. That is why a contractor who sells you windows without looking at your roof is only solving half of your problem.

So we look at the whole envelope and say which half is worse. Sometimes that answer costs us the bigger job. On a 1970s Kendall house with original single-pane windows and a roof with eight years left, the windows are the job and the roof can wait, and we will put that in writing.

Roofing

Shingle, tile, and standing-seam metal: repair and full replacement, torn off to the deck and inspected at every gate. GAF, TAMKO, Westlake Royal, and Englert systems.

Impact Windows

Impact Doors

Entry, sliding-glass, and French impact doors with multi-point locking: the opening that takes the most wind load, anchored to spec.

How We Work

Permitted, Inspected, Documented

Every Robson job runs the same backbone whatever the trade. We document the existing condition, give you a line-item estimate that names the product and its approval number, pull the permit with that number on the application, build to the approval, and meet every county inspection through final.

What that looks like on a roof: deck nailing gets inspected before anything covers it, then dry-in, then in-progress, then final. Four separate times a county inspector signs off on work that will be invisible by the end of the week. A crew working without a permit skips all four, and you find out when you sell the house or file a claim.

We are a Kendall company, owned and operated here since 2015, with bilingual crews who work Miami-Dade permitting every week. Five state certified licenses stand behind that: general CGC1541144, roofing CCC1337790, plumbing CFC1434734, mechanical CMC1251889 and solar CVC57345. On a re-roof that turns up a gas flue vent or a plumbing stack, that is one contractor and one permit trail instead of a subcontractor gap.

Roof, windows, and doors together — why it often pays

Roofing and impact openings are the two halves of your storm envelope, and both feed the wind mitigation inspection that drives your insurance credits. Packaging the work can streamline permitting and scheduling and gets your whole envelope to current code at once. We sequence the trades correctly and give you honest, line-item pricing on each piece, so you can bundle it or phase it, your call, with no pressure either way.

What To Expect

What Happens After You Call

  1. We inspect, often with a drone, and you get the photos. Free, and nothing to sign.
  2. You get a written line-item price naming each product and its Miami-Dade NOA or Florida Product Approval number.
  3. We pull the permit under our license with those approval numbers on the application.
  4. We build it and meet every inspection, then hand you the closed permit and the approvals.

We text you within minutes (8am–8pm) and call you the same business day.

Common Questions

Residential FAQ

What residential services does Robson Industrial Group offer?+
Three core lines for South Florida homes: roofing (shingle, tile, and standing-seam metal — repair and full replacement), impact windows, and impact doors (entry, sliding-glass, and French). Everything is built to the current Florida Building Code for the High Velocity Hurricane Zone, with Miami-Dade NOA or Florida Product Approval products, permits we pull, and county inspections we meet.
Do you only work in Kendall?+
Kendall is where we started, but we serve all of Miami-Dade — Kendale Lakes, Homestead, Pinecrest, and the surrounding communities — plus Broward County. We're a locally owned company based in Blue Lagoon, Miami, with bilingual crews, which is part of why homeowners here trust us with permitted, inspected work.
Why does HVHZ compliance matter so much?+
Miami-Dade and Broward sit in the High Velocity Hurricane Zone, the most demanding wind-design region in the U.S. building code. Products have to carry a Miami-Dade NOA or Florida Product Approval and be installed to that approval, and the work is permitted and inspected. It's not red tape — it's the difference between an opening or roof that holds in a hurricane and one that doesn't. We build to it on every job and put the approval numbers on the application.
Can you do my roof and my windows and doors together?+
Yes, and it often makes sense to. Roofing and impact openings are the two halves of your home's storm envelope, and they're both features on the wind mitigation inspection your insurer uses to set premium credits. Packaging the work can streamline permitting and scheduling, and we'll sequence it so each trade happens in the right order. We'll give you honest, line-item pricing on each piece so you can also phase it if you'd rather.
Do you pull permits and handle inspections?+
Always. We pull the permit, put the product approval numbers on the application, and schedule and meet every county inspection through final and closeout. Unpermitted work is a liability that surfaces when you sell or file an insurance claim — we don't do it, and we hand you documented closeout paperwork at the end.
