Commercial Standing-Seam Metal
A 40-to-50-plus-year roof for sloped commercial buildings, with the fasteners concealed where they can’t back out and leak. Englert Series 1300: painted aluminum or Galvalume, never exposed-fastener.

What commercial standing-seam is
On commercial buildings with real slope, standing-seam metal is the long-life answer: interlocking panels with the fasteners concealed beneath the seams, so there are no exposed screws to back out and leak over time. It’s a 40-to-50-plus-year roof with a reflective factory finish that helps with cooling load.
We install Englert Series 1300 standing-seam in painted aluminum (for coastal, no-rust applications) or Galvalume (for inland value), both with a factory Kynar/PVDF finish. We do not install exposed-fastener panels, bare/unpainted metal, or stone-coated steel.
Concealed fasteners are the point
The difference between a metal roof that lasts five decades and one that leaks in ten is usually the fasteners. Exposed-fastener panels rely on rubber washers at every screw: hundreds of small penetrations that degrade in the sun. Standing-seam hides the fasteners under the raised, mechanically seamed joints, so the weather surface has almost nothing to fail. That’s why we only install concealed-fastener standing-seam on commercial metal work.
Aluminum vs. Galvalume — matched to the site
- Painted aluminum: won’t rust, period — the right choice near the coast and in salt-air exposure.
- Painted Galvalume: an aluminum-zinc-coated steel that delivers excellent value inland, where salt exposure is lower.
Both carry a factory Kynar/PVDF (PVDF) finish for long-term color and chalk resistance. We match the metal to where your building actually sits.
Reflective, and built for slope
A factory-finished standing-seam roof reflects solar heat, helping cooling load on conditioned buildings. Metal needs adequate slope to shed water: it’s the right system for sloped commercial roofs, not dead-flat ones, where we’d steer you to TPO or modified bitumen instead.
Common questions
Do you install exposed-fastener metal roofs?
Aluminum or Galvalume — which should we use?
How long does a standing-seam metal roof last?
Can metal go on any commercial building?
Have a sloped commercial roof worth doing once?
We’ll confirm the slope suits metal, match aluminum or Galvalume to your location, and spec the Englert system in writing. If metal isn’t right for your building, we’ll say so.
